ROME`S HOLY WAR ON ULSTER PROTESTANTS
CONCERTED ATTEMPT TO DESTROY OUR CIVIL AND RELIGIOUS LIBERTIES
Ulster is the last bastion of Bible Protestantism in Europe and the British Isles. After almost thirty years of brutal genocide and deliberate ethnic cleansing by the Roman Catholic terrorists of the IRA, a new strategy has been developed. As well as the boycott of Protestant shops and business premises and alongside the burning of Orange Halls and Protestant Churches, there is now an orchestrated campaign to deny Protestants their civil and religious freedom to march and parade.
So-called Nationalist/RC Residents Associations have sprung up all across the land with the aim and purpose of blocking all Orange and Protestant processions. It has already happened in Dunloy, Bellaghy, Pomeroy, Belfast and Portadown. The latter town has been the centre of this plot, where a Residents Group which contains a Jesuit priest of Rome and which is fronted by a convicted Roman Catholic terrorist would seek to prevent Orangemen marching home along the Garvaghy Road from Drumcree Church.
This is only the start. If Rome succeeds in halting
marches and parades, the next target will undoubtedly be the preaching of the Gospel in
the open air. Rome has always been the enemy of freedom. In fact Pope Pius IX in his
Syllabus of Errors placed:
"Anathema (a curse) on the one who says "every man is free to embrace or profess the religion his judgement considers to be right." "
The Jesuit magazine "Civilita Catholica"
in 1948 stated:
"The Roman Catholic Church must demand the right of freedom for herself alone."
WHERE ROME RULES - FREEDOM IS CRUSHED

| POPE CALLS FOR RESISTANCE TO
PROTESTANTISM Guatemala City, February 7, 1996 (ENI) - The visit of Pope John Paul II to Guatemala - on the first leg of his visit to Central America - has given an emotional boost to Roman Catholics who feel threatened by the growth of evangelical groups. Tens of thousands of jubilant Catholics cheered the Pope after his arrival on February 5 as he sped through the streets of Guatemala City in an armoured "Popemobile". Yesterday (February 6) 50,000 people attended a Mass in the city of Esquipulas and more than half-a-million people turned out for a service in the capital city. During his address in the city of Guatemala, the Pope described indigenous people and peasants as being "the most affected by the penetration of the sects and new religious groups that plant confusion and uncertainty among Catholics." He called on pastoral workers to engage in a "new evangelisation" using not just "new methods and new expressions: but also "new fervour". Evangelical denominations represent the principal "rival" to Roman Catholicism in Guatemala. About one quarter of Guatemalans are affiliated to evangelical groups. "The Pope's visit helps Catholics feel
strengthened in their struggle with evangelicals" according to Argentina Cuevas, a
former executive secretary of the Guatemalan Confederation of Religious Orders,
representing Catholic nuns and brothers. PROTESTANT PASTOR JAILED IN BRAZIL A court in Sao Paulo has sentenced a Brazilian evangelist to two years in prison for kicking a statue of the Virgin Mary during a televised sermon. |
Sergio von Helde, a preacher for the
Universal Church of the Kingdom of God, outraged the country's Roman Catholics. FREEDOM DENIED IN SCOTLAND NO ORANGE WALK Angus Council's Civic Licensing Committee has rejected an application from Wishart Arch Defender's Lodge No. 444 to hold an Orange walk in Forfar on June 28 on the grounds that it could cause religious intolerance and major disturbances. The Herald 1.5.97 WHAT THE POPE MEANS BY UNITY According to Catholic Moment, 9.10.95, Pope John Paul II said during his weekly general audience (August 30): "Christian unity will not become a reality unless all churches accept the authority Christ entrusted to St. Peter and his successors. Unity in Christ is based on following His will. "This unity will not be fully manifested until all Christians accept Christ's will for the Church and acknowledge the apostolic authority of the bishops, in communion with the successor of Peter," he said. "The Church is also catholic (universal),
although its universal dimension must be constantly strengthened through Christ's mandate
to Peter and the other Apostles, is an essential part of the fidelity to Christ's
will," the Pope said. "No alternative form of church authority exists." MORE CONVERTS TO ROMAN CATHOLICISM There were more converts to the Roman Catholic
Church last year than in the previous twenty years. More than 6,000 adults converted to
Catholicism, an increase of 1,000 on the previous year. The Catholic Media Office said,
"It is encouraging especially in view of the reports of an apparent fall in
attendance at mass. The indication is that last year's increase will continue. |
MILLIONS OF PILGRIMS VISIT POPE WEB
SITE Millions of Internet pilgrims seeking a direct line on the holy word have helped make the recently-launched Vatican Initiative a roaring success. In the three days after its official launch on Easter Sunday, the Holy See`s Internet site has logged an astonishing number of enquiries. Church officials have expressed surprise at the level of interest in the service. A Vatican spokesman said: "From March 30 to April 1 there were 2,923,690 hits on the Holy See`s web page." "The high point took place on Monday, March 31 with 1,279,286. On Easter Sunday there were 733,063 hits and on April 1 there were 911,243" "The link-up lines currently available, equal to two megabytes, had a saturation level of 75 per cent." ALL THE WORLD WONDERED AFTER THE BEAST. Revelations 13:3 PRIEST FACES THEFT CHARGE A Roman Catholic priest from Eire appeared in court accused of stealing more than £215,000. The Rev. Seamus Heatherton, 66, faced four charges of theft at Dartford magistrate`s court, Kent. Three of the charges, concerning a total of £198,000, related to the Southwark diocese, and one, concerning £17,350, to a social club in his parish. He was remanded on conditional bail until April 29. VATICAN`S LIBYAN LINK The Vatican established full diplomatic relations with Libya. In a move which puts it at odds with America and other countries trying to isolate Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, Ambassador-level ties were forged despite months of lobbying by the USA. The Vatican cited "positive results" in Libya in the area of religious freedom. (Reuter) The Times 11/03/97 |

CATHOLIC CHURCHES BRING
INDIAN TRADITIONS INTO WORSHIP
BY RACHAEL GRAVES, ASSOCIATED PRESS
WRITER
Fort Yates, N.D. (AP) - Pulsing drumming, high-pitched mystical chanting and the scent of sage are the first indications:The Saturday evening Mass at St. Peter`s Church is atypical.
St. Peter`s, on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation, is at the forefront of a movement within the Catholic Church to embrace native traditions with a monthly liturgy that incorporates Lakota culture.
Brother George Maufort says the idea is to "integrate the culture into the worship as much as possible so people can own this as their church."
Reuben Fast Horse, who grew up on the Standing Rock Reservation and was also part of the group that sought to bring the Lakota traditions into the Mass, wanted the church to have Indian depictions of Jesus.
While travelling, he had seen renderings of Jesus as a Hawaiian and, in Alabama, as a black.
"Why not us? Why can`t we have a Native American image of Jesus Christ?" he asked.
"Until religion and Jesus are depicted in Indian images, Christianity will always be foreign will be the white man`s religion," said the Rev. Martin Broken Leg, an Episcopalian priest and professor of Native American Studies at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, S.D. "We can only approach Scripture out of who we are ourselves."
In addition to representing Jesus with different
skin colour and physical features, Broken Leg said the stories should be culturally
adapted. For example, instead of depicting Jesus on the cross, He could be shown in a
sundance ceremony, a ritual of personal offering, Broken Leg said.
Phyllis White Eyes-DeCory is the director of a Rapid City, S.D., task force working on a model combining native traditions and Catholicism. The model includes using traditional incenses like sage, cedar and sweet grass; native music and the sacred pipe ceremony, she said.
It is Lakota-oriented, but White Eyes-DeCory said the group is "pioneering this for all Native Americans."
The task force is awaiting approval of the model by the bishop of the Rapid City diocese.
"I hope it`s like a prairie fire that will catch on and just burn all the way through; that each tribe will say, "Hey,I`ve been missing this all my life," she said.
"It`s about time that we as native people are being recognised by the Vatican," White Eyes said. "We shouldn`t feel like stepchildren anymore."
The Rev. Casimir Paluck at St. Peter`s said his congregation had doubled since adopting the Lakota liturgy. "It is a way to repair the hurt done by the Catholic Church in the past," said Paluck.
That hurt raises the question: Why would Indians want to observe Catholicism?
"I have come across a number of folks that are quite puzzled that there isn`t more hostility," Broken Leg said.
Religion was used by the U.S. government as a way to indoctrinate Indians, he said. Tribal members were forced to give up their way of life, their customs and even their language.
But once those traditional ways of life were destroyed, the church became the easiest way to continue a spiritual way of life, Broken Leg said.
"Spirituality plays a really major role in Lakota life," Fast Horse said.
Fast Horse, who is a culture teacher in Fort Yates, said he hopes by bringing an "Indian flavour" to Catholicism, he can identify more with the religion.
He observes Catholicism because it
was important to his grandfather, he said, and because "when everything was dead or
dying on the reservation
..the church seemed to be an outlet."

CATHOLIC CHURCH BEATIFIES FIRST GYPSY
ROME - Not all of the Gypsies who arrived in caravans this weekend at the Fabulous Camping trailer park on the outskirts of Rome had a very clear idea of who Ceferino Jimenez Malla was.
But what they did know - and this was the reason they came from as far away as Slovakia and Brazil - was that the illiterate Spanish horsetrader, executed by a firing squad during the Spanish Civil War, was about to become the first Gypsy ever beatified by the Roman Catholic Church.
Beatification does not mean that Mr. Jimenez Malla is a saint. Completing the additional steps towards canonisation would typically require documenting that two miracles had occurred through his intercession.
There was a message in the relatively
quick beatification of Mr. Jimenez Malla - not only for Gypsies but for some other
Catholic populations as well. Under Pope John Paul, the Catholic Church has achieved new
records in the number of beatifications and canonisations, particularly in the developing
world, where he has sought to enhance the image of the Church.

HITLER SINGS
Hitler, as a boy, had a good singing voice, and on certain afternoons attended the choir school at his Catholic monastery under the tutelage of Catholic padre Bernhard Groner. On the way, young Hitler had to pass by a stone arch in which was carved the monastery`s coat of arms - its most prominent feature, a swastika - which he admired and later used for his Catholic Nazi Party and SS.
The child Hitler was raised in the traditions of the Roman Catholic Church, and received his early education at a parochial school at a Benedictine monastery. He regularly attended mass in those years and served as a choir boy. The fond dream of the youthful Adolph Hitler was to enter a seminary and eventually take holy orders to the ordained Roman Catholic priesthood.
The insane Adolph Hitler despised Protestants and Protestantism, but respected the power and organisation of the Roman Catholic institution, and indeed formed the Nazi Party along the lines of the entire Catholic institution. The cruel SS was formed along the lines of the Jesuits. Hitler said:"Providence has made me born Catholic."
Hitler`s infamous political book, "Mein Kampf" is believed to have been at least in part ghost-written for him by a Jesuit priest.
The Pope had Concordats or political treaties with all the Nazi/Fascist leaders - Hitler, Mussolini and Franco.
"Father" Tiso, the Roman
Catholic dictator in war-time Slovakia said, "Nazism and Catholicism are marching
together to reshape the world."

GANG STONES BAND MEMBER AFTER " KIDNAP"
By Joy Rolston
A Protestant teenager was forced to play hymns on his accordion as he was stoned by republican (Roman Catholic) thugs who had earlier hi-jacked his car.
The Armagh student was recovering at home last night after his terrifying ordeal at the hands of a masked gang, which struck as he was driving to work in an old people`s home.
The 17-year old, who does not want to be identified, lives in the Killylea Road area. He was confronted by at least five men at Umgola, on the outskirts of the city.
After the hijackers discovered his Ballytyrone Accordion Band uniform and accordion in the boot of the Peugeot 309, he was forced to walk ahead of them, playing the instrument, as they drove the car on his heels, into the staunchly republican Mullacreevie Park estate.
There they attacked him, as he played gospel hymn tunes, with bricks and stones, causing him head and facial injuries.
Later, at Craigavon Hospital, three stitches were inserted in a gash to the side of his head.
The bombardment with missiles only stopped when an Army helicopter passed overhead. The gang fled leaving the youth shocked and bleeding.
The incident happened about 7.20 AM as the A-level student was travelling cityward to go on duty at the Retreat Nursing Home.
The teenager, who intends making occupational therapy his career, has been working in the home for just a week. He plans starting a university degree course after the summer holidays.
When they seized his car, the gang told the young man to leave the scene. But after finding the uniform and instrument in the locked boot, they gave chase.
His father takes up the story: "They caught up with him and ordered him to walk ahead of them, into the estate, playing the accordion."
"They drove his car behind him. He played them Gospel tunes, including "Nearer my God to Thee". Then in the estate they threw bricks and stones at him as they kept him playing."
He believes his son was only saved from more serious injury by an Army helicopter passing overhead.
The man said his son asked a woman, who looked out of her front door, to get the police and an ambulance, but she said she was "afraid".
"Someone must have raised the alarm because the police came and then an ambulance," said the father.
He added: " I feel very sad about all this tension. None of my family would offer provocation to anyone. This is a Christian band my son plays in."
The youth`s car has not yet been recovered, but the family are
delighted that the accordion is safe. Later, a lorry was hijacked and set alight in the
same area. A similar incident happened at the junction of Callanbridge Park estate with
the Cathedral Road.
