Norway is a beautiful country famous for its mountains and Fjords. Large areas in the North of the country lie within the Arctic Circle where during the two summer months the sun never sets with corresponding darkness in mid-Winter.

The Norwegian people are descended like the British from the so-called Lost Tribes of Israel. They are for the most part the descendants of the tribe of Benjamin. Christianity came from Ireland to Norway over 1,000 years ago. At the time of the Reformation, Norway was ruled by the Danes and the people threw off the shackles of Rome and accepted the Open Bible and the teachings of Martin Luther. Norway remains Protestant to this day and Lutheranism is the State Church. Sadly modern Lutheranism is largely apostate and liberal in its theology. However the second largest group in Norway are the Pentecostals. There are a scattering of Israel - Identity believers and the Message was proclaimed during the 1930's - 1950's.

The Norwegian economy is prosperous and rich in natural resources and Norway wisely voted in the 1994 Referendum to stay out of the European Union.

In 1905 Norway separated from Sweden to become an independent state. It voted to become a Monarchy and chose as its King, Prince Carl of Denmark, who would become King Haakon VII. In 1896 Carl had married his cousin the British Princess Maud, daughter of King Edward VII and his Danish consort Queen Alexandra and grand-daughter of Queen Victoria. Thus was the bloodline of David King of Israel carried into the Royal line of Norway. Queen Maud endeared herself to her Norwegian subjects and was mother of their future King Olav.

Queen Maud died in 1938 just two years before the German occupation in 1940. King Haakon went into exile in London during the remainder of World War II, where he became a powerful symbol of Norwegian resistance. He died in 1957 and was succeeded by Olav V.

Another grand-daughter of Queen Victoria was to become Crown Princess of Sweden and mother of its future King. She was Princess Margaret Victoria Augusta Charlotte daughter of Arthur Duke of Connaught and her mother was Princess Louise Margaret of Prussia. She was known in the Royal Family as Princess Daisy and was a cousin of Queen Maud. She married Prince Gustaf Adolf of Sweden, grandson and heir of King Oscar II. The Princess died suddenly in May 1920 but her descendants rule on the Throne of Sweden to-day.

Thus we see the bloodline of David not only in our own beloved Queen Elizabeth II ruling over Great Britain and the Commonwealth but also Davidic monarchs in these Scandanavian Israelite nations of Norway and Sweden.

The 'have it all' generation is ageing and their daughters want nothing more than a happy marriage and home making in the country, according to a survey last month in 'New Woman' magazine. 61% of young women questioned found 'domestic goddess' role models who juggle top jobs with motherhood irritating and two thirds agreed the man should be the main provider for the family. Nine out of ten want to be married before having children, and 75% believe couples 'do not make enough effort' to stay together. However, there is still confusion in their minds. While only 1% would keep a career as 'top priority' once they have had children, only a quarter actually intend to give up work altogether when they start a family. The marital stability they long for may also be at risk from previous sexual relationships: young women still want to prolong their childhood by having a 'good time', with a majority aiming only to 'settle down' by the time they are 30.

Sadly, financial pressures may drive many young mothers back to work. In the 1960s, a family man on the average wage was not in the tax system at all. The workforce has become increasingly feminised as traditional male jobs have disappeared. Many of the men put out of work by the closure of heavy industry in Britain were encouraged to go on to incapacity benefit, so as to disguise. the unemployment figures. At the same time, their women, encouraged by a pincer movement of business and feminism, found work in the service sector, providing for their family at the same time as looking after the home. In some parts of the country, there now exists something akin to a primitive hunter gatherer society, where the men have occasional bursts of energy and sit around the rest of the time while the women do all the work.

The Biblical position regards the man as the head of his family and sees him as the main provider. His wife is his complement, taking on the role of nurturing and caring. It is encouraging to see young women today yearning to be part of this Biblical model. With the law of God written on their hearts, they instinctively know what works. God's ways are universal and destined for the whole of mankind. Margi Conkin, editor of New Woman, said,

"There has been a fundamental shift in young women's attitudes towards life and work. They've watched their own mothers trying to 'have it all' and have decided it doesn't work. They don't want to work crazy hours while their children are put into nurseries and their relationships disintegrate."

Home-school parents in Germany are coming under increasing pressure from state authorities.

A Guetersloh mother was jailed for six days because she and her husband refuse to send their children to a registered school. They also refused to pay a fine of 115 Euros. They belong to a Baptist church mainly comprised of ethnic German immigrants from Russia.

As evangelical Christians they regard the state's sex education and religious instruction as too liberal. Recently they prevented their children from watching a theatrical production of a fairy tale, claiming it was 'the work of the devil'.

Home-schooling is illegal in Germany. Parents cannot educate their children at home even for reasons of conscience. Recently seven parents in Paderborn refused to send their children to state schools and were fined 190 Euros each. The authorities threatened to take them to court, where they could lose custody over their children.

A Bavarian court in Bayreuth has ruled that Christian parents must send their eight year old daughter to a state registered school and confirmed a fine of 8,500 Euros. Home-schooling lobbyists plan to take the issue to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France.

In spite of the oppressive laws, about 500 children in Germany are educated by their parents. Christian home-schooling pioneer Helmut Stuecher of Siegen educated his seven children at home between 1980 and 1997, and founded the Philadelphia School, which provides materials for home-schools. In a letter to the North Rhine Westphalia Education Ministry, Stuecher threatened a school boycott by Christian Russian immigrants.

The German Baptist Union has distanced itself from the parents, but at the same time has offered its services as a mediator. 'It is our wish that the frontlines will not harden any further'.

Remember that you are given 86,400 seconds at the beginning of every day as a gift from God. You cannot save or deposit these seconds in a time bank. You either use them or lose them. At the end of the day your time balance returns to zero. Each day your time account is opened up and you are given 86,400 seconds to use or lose. May God help you to accept each day as your gift from God. Death will close this account until the day of the resurrection. Please use every day as your most priceless gift and bring glory and honour to the God who gave it.

ROY Bennett, a farmer in Zimbabwe's Chimanimani district, won a seat in parliament in 2000 as a candidate of the Movement for Democratic Change (M.D.C), the country's main opposition party. He is a moderate liberal and was popular among blacks as well as whites. He was one of three whites in parliament, and he persistently protested the injustices of Robert Mugabe's regime.

The government is hostile both to whites and to the M.D.C, and shortly after the election, supporters of Zanu PF, Robert Mugabe's party attacked Bennett's farm. They killed two farm workers, raped others, slaughtered cattle, and forced Bennett's pregnant wife to sing ZANU PF songs in the rain. She miscarried her child. Zimbabwe courts ordered the attackers to stop, but the state and police ignored them.

On 19th May 2004, Zimbabwe's Justice Minister, Patrick Chinamasa, told Bennett in parliament that he would never return to his farm because he was being punished for the sins of his ancestors, who were 'thieves and murderers'. Bennett lost his temper and hit Chinamasa though no one was injured.

Normally, a minor assault would be punished by a small fine, if at all. However, a parliamentary committee dominated by Zanu PF members tried the case and sentenced Bennett to a year in prison with hard labour. He currently shares a filthy, lice infested cell with 38 other convicts and his skin is blistered from working in the searing sun. Initially his guards forced him to work bareheaded, but now he is permitted to wear a hat.

His friends and family have organized the "Free Roy Bennett" Campaign to publicize his plight. According to the campaign website:freeroybennett.com, "Free Bennett" graffiti is appearing throughout the country, and the campaign has received email and letters of support from thousands around he world, including some foreign governments.

Meanwhile, three South Africans have languished as political prisoners in Zimbabwe's jails for more than ten years.

The Somali Parliament had convened in Nairobi, Kenya for its own safety. Television news viewers were treated to a wild disturbance in the parliamentary chamber on March 17th where the Somali opposition got really upset about African Union troops being stationed in their country.

They "took up the cudgels" and physically attacked Somali "government" representatives with tables, chairs and sticks, beating some until blood flowed. The fracas lasted an hour. They must have come prepared, because sticks are not the usual trappings of parliamentarians, even in Africa. Some were hospitalized, and many fled amidst fears of being torn limb from limb, which is how fights in Somali are often settled.

KING Mswati of Swaziland (formerly a British Protectorate, which was not incorporated into South Africa) is in the news these days for taking yet another new wife. He now has 11 wives and three teenage fiancees, fresh from school. He has just spent £450,000 on 10 new BMW's for these wives, which is half the amount donated annually by British aid. Swaziland is kept afloat by more than £14 million of international aid each year. Yet last year the king spent £9 million on palaces, parties and cars. The British Chancellor has proposed the doubling of international aid for Africa and the cancellation of the continent's debts. If this happens, Swaziland would gain £38 million.

King Mswati, who was educated at Sherborne school in Dorset, is Africa's last absolute monarch. All opposition parties are banned in Swaziland. The country is so poor, that most Swazis seek work in South Africa.

A growing confrontation is on the cards between Kenya's last white farmers and thousands of Masai and Samburu tribesmen who claim their land. The area of Loisaba, near Mount Kenya, is the scenario, where hundreds of spear touting tribesman drove a column of 5,000 cattle on to the farms, seeking to reclaim it as their own. They say Britain cheated them out of their land in a treaty 100 years ago.

In sharp contrast to the plight of white farmers in Zimbabwe, the Kenyan police response was immediate: 80 police officers backed by a helicopter drove the Samburu off Loisaba. However, another seven white owned farms in Laikipia district were then invaded and five are still occupied by thousands of Masai cattle and herdsmen. Violent clashes with the police have taken place. Kenya's Lands Minister has pledged his backing for the farmers. But landowners fear a rising tide of Masai militancy. "A radical group of Masai leaders is emerging, with education and political ambitions."

SINCE the fall of the Taliban government following the Anglo-American invasion of Afghanistan the opium harvest in that country has reached new heights. It is now 64% of the GDR. Contrary to Blair's assertion prior to the invasion that the Taliban encouraged and profited from opium, they did all in their power to suppress the trade.

In a sane, normal world, if the Afghans wanted a puritanical Islamic government, it should be nobody's business except their own. But 'democracy' has to be spread everywhere, meaning in the final analysis the dictatorship of money and media.

THE WOMAN who presided over the vote rigging scandal in Birmingham, described by an investigating judge as reminiscent of the practices of a 'banana republic', has not been sacked; she has been promoted!

Lin Homer, for three years Chief Executive of Birmingham City Council on a salary of £170,000 a year, was held to be chiefly responsible for the voting fiasco, being described by Judge Richard Mawry QC as having "thrown the rule book out of the window" to deal with postal vote applications.

But now Mrs. Homer has been appointed Director General of the Immigration and Nationality Directorate at £200,000 a year. The task of this body will be to attend to a backlog of asylum applications presently estimated at 250,000.

On 21 March U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan proposed sweeping changes to the United Nations, including increasing the number of Security Council members from 15 to 23.

Any changes would have to be endorsed by the U.N. General Assembly. On 17th March the Arab League which represents 22 nations unanimously came out in favour of Egypt to be nominated for one of the new seats.

Other contenders include Germany, Brazil, Japan and India. In a sharp diplomatic manoeuvre Hisham Badr, Egyptian Ambassador to Japan has supported the Japanese bid for a seat, going so far as to say that the Islamic Community has high expectations for Japan to be a role model different from the U.S.A. and other Western nations.
