ANTICHRIST (IN PLACE OF THE ANOINTED)

This word only occurs five times in the Bible (I John 2:18, 22; I John 4:3 and II John:7). John says there are many Antichrists. This, therefore, does not suit the idea of some, who endeavour to prove that at the-end of this dispensation there will arise an individual Antichrist of superhuman genius, power, and wickedness, who shall rule the world for three years, etc.

It is also applied to the Pope; and as John speaks of many Antichrists, so there have been many Popes; more than any other ruling dynasty. The Popes also have peculiarly set themselves against Christ, His Word, His people, and His doctrine. They also exactly fulfill the prophecy of Paul (II Thessalonians 2:4), that one should arise who should sit above the altar in a place of worship and there be adored as God.

This is exactly what every Pope is forced to do at his inauguration, seated in “St. Peter’s Chair” above the altar in the TribunaI of St. Peter’s (Primmer: In Rome). A medal is struck on this occasion, showing the Cardinals worshipping the Pope, with the legend in Latin, “Whom they create they adore.” Wright gives an engraving of it (Protestant Dictionary, 1904, p. 386).

SO YOU THOUGHT WE WERE FIGHTING FOR DEMOCRACY IN IRAQ? THE ZIONIST PRESS REVEALS THE TRUTH

The simple fact is that the Iraq war is being fought not really for Arnerican or British interests, but to make the Israeli state a safer place. Bush is following the advice of nonchristian neoconservatives in his cabinet, as well as Christian leaders - both of whom support the Israeli state of Edorn. Even the Israeli newspaper, Haaretz, July 14, 2004 wrote an article, "White Man’s Burden", saying,

The war in Iraq was conceived by 25 neoconservat!ve intellectuals, most of them Jewish, who are pushing President Bush to change the course of history. Two of them, journalists William Kristol and Charles Krauthammer, say it’s possible. But another journalist, Thomas Friedman (not part of the group) is sceptical."

So the descendants of Joseph - Britain (Ephraim) and America (Manasseh) fight and die on the desert sands and the back streets of Baghdad in conflict with the descendants of lshrnael - The Arabs. Whilst the Zionist descendants of Edom watch and wait.

GUESS WHO PLAYS THE ‘GOOD.GUYS’ IN OUR TV SOAPS AND DRAMAS?

You will never see a bad Muslim in a British television soap or drama and seldom see a member of the ethnic rninorities given a role with a negative image. Even Britain’s comedians, who routinely mock Christians, are “self-censoring” at the prospect of offending the Islamic faith. These were the findings of a report by the Broadcasting Standards Commission (BSC), which stated: “In portraying Muslim characters our scriptwriters have held back, they have censored themselves, they are timid”

“They pour scorn on Christianity more than on other religions because Christianity is an easier and more acceptable target.”

The BSC also admitted to having itself shown bias in favour of muslims and Islam in some of its adjudications:

“We have tried to treat the religions equally, but we haven’t succeeded. We have shaded a bit on the side of Islam.”

UK LEAST RELIGIOUS IN EUROPE

According to a study by Tilburg University in the Netherlands, Britain is one of the least religious countries in Europe. Nearly one third of those polled in Britain said religion was not at all important to them and 70% said they never went to a place of worship. However, the recent government census showed that 71% of people in Britain considered themselves Christian.

SOMEWHERE SOUTH OF RUSSIA

Russia’s land border is about 10,000 miles long. It abuts 14 separate nations. Russia’s western border, due to dense population and infrastructure, is reasonably well protected and secure. It is the nation’s vast and rugged southern border that is most exposed and vulnerable. For this reason, Moscow vests much interest in the affairs of the nations south of it, even in the tiniest former Soviet satellites like Georgia and Tajikistan. Russians understand the potential for their peace and security to be threatened if Central Asian nations fall under the influence of a hostile power.

So it’s no wonder Russia has been wary as the U.S. military undergoes large-scale reorganization, much of which involves former Soviet republics. Especially since the war on terror began, the U.S. has been looking to establish bases closer to Middle Eastern hotspots, making real estate in the Baltic, Balkan and Caucasus nations-the soft underbelly of Russia-especially attractive.

Now Moscow is seeking to counter American advances and increase its own involvement in the region. In June, for example, Russia secured an agreement with Tajikistan to establish a permanent military base there. Moscow is also pressuring the former Soviet satellites to oppose long-term U.S. military presence in their countries.

Competition between the U.S. and Russia for influence over this region will continue. As the Middle East remains unstable and the war against terrorism continues, America will work to keep its presence there. But President Vladimir Putin will continue to safeguard Russia’s security, even seeking to regain domination over, former Soviet states.

The collapse of the old Soviet Union and its Warsaw Pact satellites was not the end of Russia - It marked the “turning back” of Gog and Magog prophesied in Ezekiel 38. Bible Prophecy indicates that Russia will regain its influence on this region and in alliance with the Islamic nations in this area play its part in gathering the nations to the “Great Battle of the Day of God Almighty".

“May I warn you against spiritualizing this truth? Christ will indeed be the King of Kings upon the earth. He will be as directly and positively a Ruler as any monarch whose name is upon our lips today; but His sway will be more absolute and powerfuI. With all my heart and soul I believe that the only effective rule for humanity is an absolute monarchy; but the trouble is that we have never yet found the Monarch. For a little while the heavens have received Christ, the only One worthy of unlimited rule; but the King of men is coming back, in infinite compassion for the world which drove Him out. For His coming, not only the Church but all creation waits. The Revised Version gives a wider meaning and greater force than the Authorized to Paul’s words in Romans 8:19:

“The earnest expectation of the creation waiteth for the revealing (the Apocalypse or revelation) of the Sons of God.”

Today the Sons of God, as such, are unknown, or despised and persecuted; but when the Master comes they will be revealed with Him..

“Following upon the end of Gentile power... comes restoration of God’s ancient people Israel to their true position among the nations. I do not say the restoration of the Jew - that is not comprehensive enough; but of the whole Israel of God. The Ten Tribes, lost for centuries, shall be found and restored to their land, for the fulfillment of God’s purposes for Israel, and through Israel for the race. I know that some doubt this truth, and say that Israel as a nation has been finally cast off. Can God desert those to whom He has made oath? Absolutely impossible! Never! God’s purposes may be thwarted and hindered; but despite all human failure and folly, they must eventually be realized, The prophecies of the Old Testament concerning God’s ancient people have never been wholly fulfilled; and it cannot be that the inspired Word of the Living God should prove a failure."

STORIES OF FAMOUS HYMNS

"One day in I 932, pianist singer and songwriter Thomas A. Dorsey discovered his need for God’s comfort. He left his pregnant wife Nettie at home in Chicago while he drove his Model A to St. Louis to sing at a revival meeting. All went well, and the crowd responded enthusiastically. At the end of Dorsey’s performance, he received a telegram with the tragic news that his wife had died in chi!dbirth. Within hours, the baby boy also died. Filled with grief, Dorsey sought answers. Should I have stayed in Chicago and not gone to St. Louis? Had God done him an injustice? A few days after Nettie’s death, Dorsey sat down at the piano and began to play. Finally sensing God’s peace and closeness, he began to sing some new words and play a new song:

‘Precious Lord Take my hand, Lead me on, let me stand; I am tired, I am weak, I am worn; Through the storm, through the night, Lead me on to the fight; Take my hand, precious Lord, lead me home.’ "

Sometimes our problems and our griefs get pretty heavy but God’s hand is always outstretching to help us through them. How we praise Him, for that.

We were saddened to learn of the death of Mrs Lily Dick of Newcastle. Lily was a devoted Christian during her long life and a keen adherent of the Full Gospel. She attended Pastor Campbell’s Newcastle Meeting from its inception ten years ago until she went into Bayview Nursing Home a few months ago. The funeral service was held on Thursday 28th July at the local Elirn Pentecostal church.
