We are all familiar with the story of the Spanish Armada sent by King Philip of Spain in 1588 to conquer Protestant England and depose Queen Elizabeth I. We all know how this Armada was defeated not just by the ships of Sir Francis Drake but how a miraculous storm destroyed the Spanish Fleet and how Queen Elizabeth caused a Thanksgiving Medal to be struck with the inscription:-

This was not the end of the story. Rome has always regarded Ireland as the back door to the conquest of England. The disaffected rebel chieftains O’Neill and O’Donnell sent letters to King Philip.

The fate of the Catholic Church was a constant theme in the letters sent to Spain. Philip II - hard-pressed in France and his government veering towards bankruptcy - was eager, nevertheless, to do what he could. In May 1596 the Spanish king's emissary, Alonso Cobos, sailed into Killybegs with munitions from Philip and indulgences and relics from Pope Clement VIII. Cobos walked forty miles to meet O’Neill for he would speak only with him, O'Donnell, O’Doherty and their secretaries. The Ulster lords asked for immediate assistance and wrote also to Philip’s son, the Prince of the Asturias, asking him to aid in his clemency this most excellent and just cause, that of asserting Catholic liberty and of freeing the country from the rod of tyrannical evil, and that, with the help of the Divine Majesty, he may win for Christ an infinite number of souls, snatching them from the jaws of hell.

This was elegantly signed by both O’Neill and O’Donnell (the former also impressing it with his seal of the Red Hand of Ulster) at Lifford, dated 16 May 1596.

Two other Spanish officers, Luis de Cisneres an de Medinilla assessed what might be required and suggested Carlingford, Sligo, Killybegs and Limerick as possible landing places. Then in June 1596 a joint Anglo-Dutch fleet wreaked havoc on Cadiz, burning the city and capturing or destroying fifty-seven ships. Philip was eager for revenge and prepared an Armada for Ulster, while O’Donnell stockpiled to sustain the Spaniards. It was late October when eighty-one vessels left Lisbon and were joined by nineteen more from Seville under the command of Don Martin de Padilla; but before this fleet could join up with other ships from El Ferrol and Vigo, it was overwhelmed by a terrible storm - more than two thousand men perished and at least thirty-two ships were lost. A year later another 136 vessels and over 12,600 men were raised but this too was dispersed by storms. Philip could not summon enough strength for a third attempt.

Thus did Almighty God frustrate the plans of Popish Spain. O’Neill and O’Donnell left to fight the English alone and were soon defeated. Their subsequent escape to take refuge in Roman Catholic Europe known in history as "The flight of the Earls” was to clear the way for the Plantation of Ulster with good, industrious Protestant settlers (your ancestors) by King James I and VI. They came at the same era as settlements were taking root in what is now the United States and South Africa. They came in fulfilment of the prophecy that the seed or descendants of Joseph would be like a vine whose branches run over the wall.

The praise and honour given to the memory of killers and terrorists is obviously not something that is peculiar to Northern Ireland or the Arab world.

The massive, park-like memorial made of killer Baruch Goldstein’s grave indicates the high esteem in which he was held by Zionists following the massacre. Goldstein’s grave describes him as an honourable man, even a saint.

Celebrating the Hebron massacre, Zionist admirers of mass murderer, Baruch Goldstein, carried automatic weapons similar to the one Goldstein (above) used to carry out his “mission”.

When Ehud Olmert inadvertently broke Israel’s long-held silence regarding nuclear capabilities in December 2006, the veiled admission created uproar in Israel and abroad.

A “vow of silence” about Israel’s nuclear program began when President John F. Kennedy confronted young Deputy Defense Minister Shimon Peres in 1963 with rumours about Israel's nuclear ambitions. Peres replied,

Olmert’s aides quickly tried to soften his embarrassing verbal slip, and later Olmert amended the statement, rephrasing Peres’ quip and adding,

In 1970, then-Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir and President Richard Nixon in order not to upset the push for non-proliferation commitments in other countries agreed to accept Israel’s nuclear status on condition that it observe a vow of silence, avoid nuclear tests, and not threaten other countries with attacks. The low profile allowed Israel to avoid internationally-imposed nuclear oversight. But Olmert’s reckless slip may provide Israel’s neighbours with an excuse to acquire non-conventional materials and bolster efforts to dismantle Israel's nuclear capabilities.

This does not mean that other countries were unaware of Israel’s nuclear deterrent. As proof of this, analysts point to Egyptian President Anwar Sadat’s abandonment of efforts to defeat Israel, and Iraqi President Saddam Hussein’s decision not to fit Scuds with non-conventional warheads when firing on Israel in the 1991 Gulf War.

Israel’s policy of silence has both critics and supporters, but clearly, an atomic Iran would require some sort of change in Israel’s policy. Michael Karpin, an author of a history of Israel’s nuclear program, insists,

"for balance of terror so that both sides don't use the bomb, you need to know that the other side has the bomb."

But knowing may not make a difference. DEBKAfile-a Jerusalem based news website with sources in Tehran-notes that heads of the Islamic regime once calculated that a nuclear strike on Iran would hurt, but not threaten, Iran’s survival. In contrast, a single Iranian nuclear bomb on Israel would fatally paralyse the Holy Land-a hypothesis first presented by former Iranian President Hashemi Rafsanjani during a sermon in Tehran.

Iran does not seem worried about Olmert’s "dmission," but its leaders are definitely prepared to use Olmert’s statement. Tehran, contacting the UN Security Council and Organization of the Islamic Conference, now claims entitlement to "self defense." Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Mohammad Au Hosseini argued,

Two thousand years ago the Holy Spirit handed down God’s perfect plan for women with children. Because the God of Scripture speaks an unchanging Word, His standard remains as true in the 21st Century as it was in the 1st Century. The instruction given to the aged women who walked in godly faithfulness was this:

God set a noble standard for women. That old adage, “The hands that rock the cradle rule the world,” may not overstate the importance of motherhood. Biblical Christianity has always placed a premium on marriage and motherhood. Speaking of younger women, the Apostle to the Gentiles (Israel in dispersion declared) declared:

God ordained from the beginning (as evidenced by Hebrew women of the Bible) and every millennia of history confirms (as evidenced
by Christian women of Western civilization) that women are to be stay-at-home moms. Not until the advanced stages of the Industrial Revolution (within the past seventy-five years) did the haemorrhage of mothers from the home occur. Increasingly since World War II (1945), this has been true. Only on rare occasions did a woman with children enter the work place in 1900, unless perhaps she had been widowed. The past fifty-plus years has witnessed a complete transformation of American society as a majority of mothers with
children at home work outside the home. Many families view the wife working as an absolute necessity, something that was not true as late as the 50s and 60s.

However, my question to you is, what blessings benefit those who purpose to be keepers at home when children are still in the home? Everyone could argue the necessity of the mother working outside the home because of income needs. But, there are special rewards to those who remain keepers at home, tending the children and guiding the house. Would the Holy Spirit instruct mothers to
be keepers at home if there were not definite benefits which God knew would accrue to those willing to keep this charge? Let us examine those blessings.

First, children are meant to be in their mothers’ arms and under their care during their early and formative years. Authorities on child development believe that the first five years of a child's life are among the most important, for during these years, their emotional development, personality, character, training, discipline, and educational foundation are of critical importance. No one is better equipped to meet these needs than the mother who carried this child in her womb for nine months, endured the pains of childbirth, and rejoiced to receive this gift from God. Children growing up in a Christian family with a stay-at-home mom and a father who is actively engaged in the child's daily life are far better equipped emotionally and educationally than those who spend large amounts of time at day care centres or the babysitters. No one can love your child or implement your training principles like you can.

Second, children need to bond with their mother and father in their formative years. When children leave the home regularly to go to the care of non-relatives, a lot can be lost and little gained. The normal bonding between mother and child may be greatly affected when the mother sends her child to the local day care centre. Who has not witnessed the sometimes-wrenching scene as a
mother leaves her young child at a day care centre? God gave your child to you to raise.

Third, mothers who are keepers at home are fully capable of launching home cottage projects to supplement the family income. Moreover, experts in home management believe the compiled costs of transportation, extra clothing, convenience foods, child care, and other expenses greatly reduce the primary reason moms work outside the home: to gain extra income. Experts believe that if a couple honestly totals all the extra expenses incurred when the wife works outside the home, their net gain will not be worth the losses, which are too costly. Parents, there is an emotional cost. Children are meant to be reared by their mothers.

Fourth, experts agree that children who spend time in day care centres are sick much more often than those who stay at home with their mothers.

May God be praised for those couples who purpose to cut corners, live frugally, and manage their resources carefully so the mother can remain in the home with her children. This is God's plan for mothers. What woman out there truly believes she is superhuman and can work outside the home without her children suffering any ill effects?

"Over the past thirty years, Australia, along with just about every other western society, has been transformed by a revolution engineered from the top down by the leading echelons of the corporate welfare state. New class cadres of managers, professionals, politicians and academics have dismantled the foundations of Australian nationhood laid down at Federation. The arbitration system, the protective tariff and the White Australia Policy: all have gone in order to facilitate the free flow of capital, technology and labour in a globalised economy. The most revolutionary, by far, of these radical changes has been the decision to open Australia to mass third world immigration. In taking this step, the managerial regime has followed the wry advice tendered by Bertolt Brecht to the East German government on the occasion of the workers’ revolt in 1953: rather than relying on crude repressive measures, Brecht suggested that the Communist regime should simply dissolve the people and elect a new one. Indeed, since 1945, a strange alliance of communists, Christian churches, ethnic lobbies, and other pressure groups working through the corporate sector, and within the apparatus of centralised state power set out deliberately to flood the Anglo-Australian homeland with a polyglot mass of third world immigrants.

Racial egalitarianism rather obviously flies in the face of the more realistic premises of the White Australia Policy. The founding fathers of the Australian nation regarded racial differences as a fact of life and racial conflict as the inevitable consequence of a multi-racial society. In their view, ethnic homogeneity was one of the great strengths of the Australian nation, one that ought to be preserved and not squandered in pursuit of utopian visions of universal harmony in which lions could be re-educated to lie down with lambs.

Given the relentless and revolutionary assault on their historic national identity, white Australians now face a life-or-death struggle to preserve their homeland. Whether effective resistance to their displacement and dispossession can be mounted is another question. Unlike other racial, ethnic or religious groups well equipped to practice the politics of identity, white Australians lack a strong, cohesive sense of ethnic solidarity. Our still predominantly Anglo-Australian rulers take pride in their active collaboration with the third world colonisation of Australia. The Australian nation is bereft of a responsible ruling class. The solution in principle is no less obvious - namely, the restoration of a ruling class rooted in the reinvigorated folkways of an authentically Anglo-American civic patriotism, a ruling class re-attached to the history and destiny of its own people. Only time will tell whether and how any such constitutional reformation could take place.

But the problem of an irresponsible ruling class wedded to open borders is not confined to Australia. It threatens the survival of European civilisation as a whole. The growing Islamic presence throughout the West is perhaps the most visible sign of our spiritual decline. Western elites are living a lie, basing the future of their societies on the assumption that all groups of people are equal in all respects. Such mendacious elites pose a greater threat to Western Civilisation than the Islamic militants they choose to harbour in the heart of the citadel .... Defenders of the ruling orthodoxy are resorting to social ostracism, legal repression and even physical coercion... The capacity to act remains the key to our political salvation."

Mrs Eleanor Russell of London Ontario, Canada who went to her rest in her 94th year in January. Mrs Russell was a life long British Israel believer and a tireless witness for the Kingdom. Pastor Campbell had the priveledge of baptizing her in September 2006. The veteran crusader will be sadly missed.
