THE NEW YEAR CHALLENGE

Dear Friends and Co-Workers,

As we enter another year of witness, great challenges lie before us as major world changing events begin to unfold.

We think of the “War on Terrorism” which has impacted not only the Middle East but the entire Islamic world. We have watched as Britain and the USA, the Ephraim and Manasseh of Bible Prophecy went into Iraq. Now they are ensnared in it. We see them spend their strength, their wealth and the blood of our soldiers in vain. The powerful oil interests and the Zionist state are the real beneficiaries. We cannot solve the problems of Palestine and the Middle East. The Bible clearly tells us that all nations will be gathered to Jerusalem to battle. The war-mongers would seek to extend the conflict to Syria and Iran whilst terrorism now strikes in Turkey the Biblical “House of Togarmah.”

On the European front we see the continued push to subjugate Britain to a rising United States of Europe. Already a currency, an army and now a constitution coming into place. All of this aided and encouraged by the Roman Church, the “Scarlet Woman” of Prophecy, to fulfil their dream of a Europe united from the Atlantic Ocean to the Ural mountains.

On the religious front the prophesied apostasy deepens day by day. The stage is set for a one world religion which will energise and work hand in glove with the coming one world government and economic system.

Here in our own beloved Ulster, whilst we thank God for the recent election victory which clearly showed that the vast majority of the Protestant people reject the “Belfast Agreement” yet the British Government seem determined to ignore the result and seek to thwart the expressed will of the people. Unless we see repentance and a return to God and His Law there can be no victory.

We live, dear friends, in the “Time of Jacob’s Trouble” when Daniel the prophet tells us that the “power of the holy people (Celto-Anglo-Saxon) is being scattered.”

What shall we do? The answer is given on our front cover - as “watchmen to the House of Israel” we must sound the trumpet of warning.

ISAIAH 58:1

EZEKIEL 33:l - 7

JOEL 2:1

This year with your prayerful and financial help we must re-double our efforts. Through our Publications, Tape Ministry, Radio Ministry Internet Ministry and our many meetings across the land we must get the truth to the people for it is this truth that will set them free.

May God bless and guide you as you prayerfully decide what you can do to advance God’s Work in 2004.

Wishing you every blessing.

ASPECTS OF ISLAM

THE first Arab wave of the 7th Century brought the Moslems as far as Poitiers in France. The second, Turkish wave of the 12th to 17th Centuries, led to the destruction of Christian Byzantium and the siege of Vienna. The third wave, in the form of the present colonization, is stealthy in character, but potentially even more catastrophic. The more militant Europeanists now invoke the need for a new reconquista. This is especially evident in Philippe Randa’s novel Poitiers demain (Paris: Denoel, 2000) and the music album Reconquista by the group Fraction.

THE MOOR RETURNS

FOR 800 years, Moslems ruled southern Spain from the Moorish capital of Grenada, until King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella finally expelled them in 1492. Now - a sign of the times - for the first time in 500 years, Spain has a new mosque, which was opened for worship in Grenada in July this year. Dignitaries from Arab and Moslem countries gathered for the occasion as Sheik Sultan bin Mohammed al-Qassimi of the United Arab Emirates - which paid for half of the construction costs - inaugurated the building, and a muezzin climbed the minaret of the Great Mosque of Grenada to call the faithful to prayer.

WORLD STATE OF ISLAM

IN early November last year, Moslems gathered in western Sydney and heard the words of Abu Sumaiya, urging them to be wary of the evils of integration and multi-culturalism. Sumaiya is part of the Islamic group Hizbut-Tahrir that advocates the creation of a world-wide Moslem state. According to Sumaiya, Moslems should consider themselves Moslems first, and not Australians. Multiculturalism is to be regarded as a ‘plot of the West’ because as Moslems integrate, they abandon the Moslem way of life. These people come into Australia, and once entrenched, seek to change the very fabric of their host society They have taken advantage of everything our country has to offer - freedom, right to property welfare, a high standard of living, and democracy - and then have the audacity systematically to remove these very societal gifts from the Australians who have hosted them. If the West and its values are so hateful to Moslems, why are they risking life and limb to get here [to Australia]?

It makes me wonder if Moslem immigration isn’t viewed by some as a form of warfare, part of the quest to achieve a world-wide Moslem state - colonialism - Islamic style. ...What concerns me most is that Islam, not common law, forms the basis of the Islamic ideal of a justice system. This has more implications for the Western host country than most realise as the primacy of Mohammed and his proscriptions and punishments cannot be challenged. The harshest punishments are often reserved for non-Moslems and apostates. Violence against idolaters and apostates is almost a duty for Moslems.

Proof of creeping Islamic fundamentalism in Australia is already available. One example is that of Imam Sheikh Taj el-Din al-Hilaly of the New South Wales Lakemba Mosque. Driving in an unregistered vehicle, the Imam tried to turn a traffic violation into a case of racial discrimination. In reality, the Imam attempted to hide behind his religion rather than take responsibility for breaking the law. What this incident illustrates is that some Moslems reject outright Australia’s sovereignty to uphold the law and implement order. ...We have to face the fact that when we accept a Moslem immigrant we are essentially welcoming two into the country - the Moslem immigrant himself and Allah. The former won’t integrate, because the latter won’t let him.

MAHDI'S SHIA ARMY

SHIA militia volunteers are signing up with the ‘Mahdi’s Army’, in response to a fiery call to arms made by a maverick young cleric Muqtader al- Sadr in Najaf, Iraq. AI-Sadr is leading anti-U.S. demonstrations and encouraging resistance to the U.S. ‘invaders’. Sheikh Hassan al-Zurgani, a Baghdad representative of a Shia seminary based in Najaf, boasts that

“On the very first day after the [al-Sadr] call, up to 1 million people signed.”

He added,

“We do not need to issue weapons. Everybody has their own gun. This is not a symbolic army. You would be astonished how ready people are to die.”

Many young children’s names are on the lists. After Iraq, however, no one can say whether the Mahdi’s Army will turn next.

RUSSIA SEEKS TO JOIN ORGANISATION OF THE ISLAMIC CONFERENCE

BY: Frank Brown

MOSCOW (RNS) Russian Muslim leaders welcomed Wednesday (Aug. 6) a proposal by President Vladimir Putin that Russia join the Organization of the Islamic Conference, a worldwide association of 56 mostly Muslim countries.

“Maybe then, ordinary Russians and bureaucrats would understand better that this is a Muslim country, too, and not just a Christian country,” said Mufti Visam Ali Bardvin, a co-chairman of the Russian Council of Muftis.

About 60 percent of Russia’s 145 million citizens are Christians. The country’s estimated 20 million Muslims, concentrated along the Volga River and in the southern Caucasus region, represent the largest religious minority.

“Unfortunately, in the area where I live, there are very few Muslims. We are looked upon as outsiders, even though we are Citizens,” said Bardvin in a telephone interview from the city of Petrozavodsk near the Finnish border.

Putin made the proposal Tuesday while on a state visit to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In October, that city will host a summit of heads of OIC member states held once every three years.

Ambassador Babacar Ba, the OIC’s representative to the United Nations in Geneva, said Russia’s application for membership may be “difficult because at least one-fourth of the population has to be Muslim” according to the organization’s rules. However, Ba added from Geneva, exceptions have been made in the past for certain African countries, “like Gabon,” with significant Muslim minorities.

Ba noted that Russia’s 20 million Muslims are ”a very significant number” and said Russian membership would give the OIC a chance to help resolve the bloody conflict surrounding Russia’s mostly Muslim breakaway republic of Chechnya.

In theory, OIC membership might give Russia some leverage over those Muslim countries it currently accuses of serving as bases of support for Chechen rebels. One element of the OIC’s charter is a member pledge to observe “the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of each State.”

Russian OIC membership would represent the first time the country has joined an international Muslim organization. The dominant Russian Orthodox Church has been a member of the World Council of Churches since Soviet times. Less trusted Soviet Muslims were forbidden from similar memberships.

The Rev. Vsevolod Chaplin, a spokesman for the Russian Orthodox Church, called Russian membership in the OIC “entirely logical” given the country’s Muslim tradition, the ITAR-TASS news agency reported.

IS YOUR HUT BURNING?

THE only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect himself from the elements, and to store his few possessions.

But then one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky. The worst had happened - everything was lost. He was stunned with grief and anger. “God, how could you do this to me?” he cried.

Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him. “How did you know I was here?” asked the weary man of his rescuers. “We saw your smoke signal” they replied.

It’s easy to get discouraged sometimes when things appear to be going badly. But we shouldn’t lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain and suffering. Remember, next time your little hut is burning to the ground, it just may be a smoke signal that summons the grace of God.

For all the negative things we have to say to ourselves, God has a positive answer for it.

You say, “It’s impossible.” God says: “All things are possible.” - (Luke 18:27)

You say, “I’m too tired.” God says: “I will give you rest.” - (Matthew 11:28-30)

You say, “Nobody really loves me.” God says: “I love you.” - (John 3:16 and John 13:34)

You say, “I can’t go on.” God says: “My grace is sufficient.“ - (2 Corinthians 12:9 and Psalm 91:15)

You say, “I can’t figure things out.” God says: “I will direct your steps.” - (Proverbs 3:5-6)

You say, “I can’t do it.” God says: “You can do all things in Me.” - (Philippians 4:13)

You say, “It’s not worth it.” God says: “It will be worth it.” - (Romans 8:28)

You say, “I can’t forgive myself.” God says: “I forgive you.” - (I John 1:9 and Romans 8:1)

You say, “I can’t manage.” God says: “I will supply all your needs.” - (Philippians 4:19)

You say, “I’m afraid.” God says: “I have not given you a spirit of fear.” - (2 Timothy 1: 7)

You say, “I’m always worried and frustrated.” God says: “Cast all your cares on Me.” - (I Peter 5:7)

You say, “I don’t have enough faith.” God says: “I’ve given everyone a measure of faith.” - (Romans 12:3)

You say, “I’m not smart enough.” God says: “I give you wisdom.” - (I Corinthians 1:30)

You say, “I feel all alone.” God says: “I will never leave you or forsake you.” - (Hebrews 13: 5)

You never know whose life may be in need of this today. There are some weeks (and days) that we ALL feel our huts are burning.

GOD’S SPECIAL MEN SAID IT

“I am so busy now that I find if I did not spend two or three hours each day in prayer, I could not get through the day. If I should neglect prayer but for a single day, I would lose a great deal of the fire of faith.”

Martin Luther

“Someone said that the preacher must catch the spirit of the age. I say God must forgive him if he does. The preacher’s business is to correct the spirit of the age.”

G. Campbell Morgan

And worth quoting.....

“In the beginning of a change, the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.”

Mark Twain, Notebook, 1904

WHAT IS HAPPENING TO BRITAIN? - HOSEA 4:6-7

THE Southport Offshore Trust made an application to the Community Fund for a lottery grant to replace the 100-year-old boathouse used by iIts lifeboatmen. The application was turned down on the grounds that the purpose of the fund was to help charities that benefit ‘disadvantaged people’. In a letter from the Fund’s regional manager Andy Freeney, the Trust was informed: “You may from time to time serve disadvantaged people but on balance your normal beneficiaries would be those who use the sea and need rescuing from It.”

A COURTROOM was turned into a karaoke bar when a defendant up on a charge of molesting two girls was allowed to sing a love song to the jury to prove his innocence.

Jamaican Desmond Campbell, now living in Hackney, East London, was given permission by the judge to sing into a microphone to show how he enjoyed complimenting attractive women - a Jamaican tradition, he said.

Campbell denied touching the knee of one of the girls, a 15-year-old, on a train. He was acquitted.

A BLACKBURN policeman who displayed a small Union Flag in his patrol van has been reprimanded after being reported by two Asian colleagues. His superiors told him that his action in the ‘racially sensitive’ town could be considered lnflammatory. The officer, who has not been named, has now been moved to another post.

A CONVICTED murderer has been granted legal aid in an action he is bringing against the Prison Service for thousands of pounds in lost interest because, he claims, his prison savings were not invested wisely.

John Duggan blames jail chiefs for not putting his cash - including profits from share deals - into a lucrative interest-bearing account during his 18-year term inside for a killing for which he was found guilty at Nottingham Crown Court in 1984. He had battered his girlfriend to death with a scaffolding pole.

A CAREER criminal was spared jail last month because of his poetical bent. 42-year-old Mark Patterson had admitted being armed with a machete as he burgled a neighbour’s house, but Judge Simon Goldstein let him go free with an 18-month drug treatment order to try, in the Judge’s words, “to make a success of your undoubted talent for poetry.”

West Indian Patterson, who had 51 previous convictions, expressed his appreciation for this let-off by writing a special poem dedicated to the Judge. The poem begins: “New Fortune I bought in my day in court.”

A CHIROPRACTOR from Canada is threatened with deportation from Britain because she owns her own business and, according to hitherto existing immigration rules, therefore has no right to stay.

Dr. Maryellen Stephens (32), came here from Canada as a student in 1996. She opened a clinic in Redruth, Cornwall, has treated more than 1,000 patients and is strongly backed by local residents, who say she provides a much-needed service.

Miss Stephens (who from her name sounds as if she is of British descent) has never claimed benefits and has always paid taxes.

A NEW CENTRE for asylum-seekers earmarked for Piddlngton, in Oxfordshire, has enormously angered local residents but Deputy Premier John Prescott is riding roughshod over their wishes. The centre will be built, whether they like it or not.

But that’s not all. It’s going to be a real five-star place. Set in lush grounds, it will have state-of-the art housing and facilities, Including a creche, library, information technology and e-mail connection-plus a minibus for jaunts into nearby towns. Also there will be a sports centre, swimming pool and football pitch, plus a medical centre, rooms for worship, possibly including a mosque, and sophisticated education facilities for adults and their children.

The bill to the taxpayer is not yet known.

THE eight members of a class of trainee traffic wardens were arrested when they arrived for a lesson in Camden, North London. They were all illegal immigrants from Nigeria.

AN asylum-seeker jailed for sexually assaulting a 76-year-old grandmother has been awarded £15,000 for a breach of his human rights.

Abdelkadir Mohammed carried out the attack only five days after lodging his asylum claim. He was sentenced to three years (no, that’s not a misprint!) in jail and the judge said he should then be deported to Somalia.

But when his term was up, Mr. Mohammed argued that he would be persecuted if he went back home. He was detained while his case was pending. Now the High Court has ruled that this was illegal. Hence the award.

WHILE the Government plans further tax increases, it is giving £4 million towards a new Muslim school in Birmingham following demands from the Asian community.

ISRAEL - GOD’S CLAY

CLAY is earth or soil that is plastic and tenacious when moist, and becomes permanently hard when baked or fired. Clays are formed by the weathering of felspathic rocks such as granite. Their physical structure enables them to take up large quantities of water giving them plasticity. This makes them malleable and capable of being moulded. Clays vary in plasticity and are used for specific purposes such as bricks, tiles, tobacco pipes, firebricks, potter’s clay, sculptor’s clay, modelling clay.

As the presence of mineral or soluble salt impurities adversely affects the clay, clay for pottery is specially blended and prepared, the success of the potter requiring its correct composition, skill in shaping it or pressing it into moulds and the correct temperature for firing.

The potter of Scripture forms his vessel on a wheel (Jeremiah 18:3) as he pleases with the utmost ease and expertise. He has full power over the clay. This is a beautiful illustration of the power of God as Creator. It also illustrates His sovereignty:

“Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?" - (Romans 9:20-21)

The Prophet Isaiah speaks of Israel:

”...we are the clay, and thou our potter, and we all are the work of thy hand” - (Isaiah 64:8)

As the potter “treadeth the clay” - (Isaiah 41:25) to make it pliable, so God has continually disciplined and preserved Israel to bring them in line with His purposes.

If in the making, because of a defect in the clay or some other eventuality, the vessel is not acceptable to the potter he can always crush his vessel back into a shapeless mass of clay and begin anew. So has God promised to do with Israel.

“The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words. Then I went down to the potter’s house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter.. so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 0 house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the potters hand, so are ye in mine hand, 0 house of Israel.” - (Jeremiah18:1-6)

With what eager anticipation we await the time when Israel will be reformed as a perfect, fired vessel, showing forth the glory of God and demonstrating in the world His righteousness, justice and mercy.

(Ref Isaiah 60:1-3)

BLAIR OUT TO DESTROY THE UK, SAYS TEBBIT

Constitution

By George Jones Political Editor

Lord Tebbit accused Tony Blair last night of seeking the destruction of the United Kingdom and its absorption within a foreign jurisdiction. The veteran Conservative peer claimed that the Prime Minister and his Government “detested” Britain’s history constitution and institutions.

Lord Tebbit delivering the Ian Gow Memorial Lecture at the Palace of Westminster, said that initially he believed Mr Blair’s ambitions were confined to the creation of a European identity to replace that of Britishness.

“That would explain the destruction of every British standard, from the foot and the pound to our standards of justice, to make the imposition of Euro standards the easier,” he said.

But Mr Blair’s Labour conference speech last year had revealed a far wider ambition:

“It goes well beyond the extirpation of terrorists and the punishment of those giving them shelter. The more vainglorious passages spoke of alliances to solve the wider world’s problems, wars, in the Congo, global poverty and famine and, of course, the installation of a Government in Afghanistan acceptable to world opinion - that is, acceptable to the international jurists favoured by Mr Blair.”

Lord Tebbit added:

“The outrages in Yugoslavia and those of September 11 in New York have confirmed in the mind of Mr Blair the need not merely to submerge the UK into a Euro-state but to create a wider world authority. Whether his allies in Washington and Brussels fully share his ambition is another matter. Blair’s constitutional reforms, his social reforms undermining the family, his criminal and civil law reforms overturning 1,000 years of British jurisprudence, his attempted obliteration of the culture and history of this Kingdom, the betrayal of those who would be British whether in Ulster or Gibraltar, his contemptuous disregard of our kith and kin in Zimbabwe, his resolution to cede our very currency to foreign interests are all part of one agenda - the destruction of this Kingdom and its absorption within a foreign jurisdiction, over the heads or behind the backs of its people and contrary to the oaths he swore on taking office.Never before have we had in office a Government and most particularly a Prime Minister who detests our history, our constitution, our institutions and indeed the very nation we are and whose intention is to subjugate us to foreign rule.”

THE WAY TO A HAPPY NEW YEAR

To leave the old with a burst of song;

To recall the right and forgive the wrong;

To forget the things that bind you fast

To the vain regrets of the year that’s past;

To have the strength to let go your hold

Of the not worthwhile of the days grown old;

To dare go forth with a purpose true,

To the unknown task of the year that’s new;

To help your brother along the road,

To do his work and lift his load;

To add your gift to the world’s good cheer,

Is to have and to give a Happy New Year.
